David de Gea has got Manchester United fans talking after his latest match for Fiorentina.
The Spanish goalkeeper had been without a club since leaving Old Trafford at the end of the 22/23 season.
However, earlier in the month, it was confirmed that De Gea had signed for Italian Serie A side Fiorentina.

A statement from the club read: “ACF Fiorentina has announced the signing of David de Gea Quintana. Our new keeper will be unveiled on 12 August at 14:00 in the Wind3 Media Center at the Rocco B. Commisso Viola Park.”
De Gea didn’t enjoy the best of returns to football after he conceded two goals in 12 minutes on his debut for his new club, a 3-3 draw against Hungarian side Puskas Akademia.
In the return leg, De Gea reminded everyone what he is capable of as he made a string of important stops before making a crucial save in the penalty shootout as Fiorentina sealed their place in the UEFA Conference League.

The Spaniard denied Roland Szolnoki as Fiorentina came away 5-4 winners in the shootout.
Reacting on social media, one United fan said: “Where was this performance against Villarreal?”
Another tweeted: “This save came too late. HE WOULD HAVE WON US A WHOLE TROPHY WITH ONE SAVE.”

A third fan added: “He only needed to do this against Villarreal.”
Someone else wrote: “One of this was needed against Villarreal for us to win the Europa league. But anyway, I still rate him high.”
A fifth commented: “Couldn’t do this against Villareal though.”

Back in the 20/21 season, United took on Villarreal in the UEFA Europa League final at the Gdansk Stadium in Gdansk, Poland.
After the match ended in a 1-1 draw, a penalty shootout was needed to decide the winner.
The Spanish side, managed by Unai Emery, scored all 11 penalties and De Gea missed his kick to hand Villarreal the trophy.
