A major 'concern' over Bruno Fernandes has been raised ahead of Manchester United's huge game against rivals Liverpool.
Man United, who suffered a crushing 2-0 home defeat to Newcastle United on Monday, resume their faltering Premier League campaign on Sunday when they travel to Anfield to face Arne Slot's red-hot side.
The Red Devils have lost three games on the bounce while the league leaders have won three games in a row, scoring a whopping 14 goals in the process.
Fernandes was ruled out of his team's match against Newcastle, having picked up two bookings in their Boxing Day defeat at Wolves.

He's expected to be restored to the starting XI against Liverpool, which will be officiated by Michael Oliver.
And ahead of this weekend's league fixture, 'people at Man United' have expressed 'concerns' over Oliver's handling of Fernandes.
That's according to Manchester Evening News reporter Samuel Luckhurst, who took to social media to bemoan the referee selection for Liverpool vs. Man United.
On X, he wrote: "The referee should be moot this weekend but beggars belief PGMOL have chosen Michael Oliver to officiate Liverpool vs #mufc. Oliver was on a power trip with Dalot’s red card at Anfield last season and responsible for one of the worst ever VAR interventions for West Ham’s penalty against United.

"People at United have also expressed concerns about Oliver’s handling of Fernandes. Will be his first game refereeing United since February last year."
Last season, Liverpool and Man United played out a goalless draw at Anfield in a game that saw Diogo Dalot sent off.
Dalot received two yellow cards in the space of 10 seconds - both for dissent.

Concerns have been raised for Fernandes following last season's fixture as Oliver is set to oversee his first Man United game since February 2024.
