Rio Ferdinand has updated fans after leaving TNT Sports' broadcast of Paris Saint Germain's 1-1 draw with Newcastle United on Tuesday evening.
Ferdinand was present for the pre-match build-up at the Parc des Princes but was absent for the post-match analysis.
Laura Woods addressed Ferdinand's departure after discussing Manchester United's clash with Galatasaray on Wednesday evening, explaining: "Rio would be here to chat about Manchester United now, but we had to let him go [due to] unforeseen circumstances. He is okay, don't worry."

It was later confirmed Ferdinand was taken ill during the game and returned to his Paris hotel room to rest. Check out Ferdinand's first message since the news emerged below:
While in the airport being filmed by TNT Sports commentator Darren Fletcher, Ferdinand explained: "This is the way to travel. Fletch, when you come with me, this is what happens.
"Almost didn't make this flight, man. Almost didn't make this game. It's Manchester United in Istanbul. I had to make this game man!"

The United legend captioned his post: "Exclusive: Don’t panic people… I’m alive & kicking ready for tonight’s action in Istanbul!"
If Erik ten Hag's side lose to Galatasaray, they'll be eliminated from Group A.

It promises to be a hostile atmosphere at Rams Park, something Ten Hag has warned his players about.
He told reporters in his pre-match press conference: "You have to stay calm in your head and don’t get too emotional – control emotion, don’t give them anything.
"The referee as well, don’t give them a moment they can take, so you have to stay away from such moments.

"You have to make it your game. It is not that important how the opponent is playing, it is how you are playing.
"We will make a good plan and the players, they have to decide [take responsibility]."
