Alejandro Garnacho could leave Manchester United before the transfer window shuts and Liverpool might have a huge part to play.
Garnacho’s future has been up in the air at Old Trafford after it emerged the winger was not ‘unsellable’ with Manchester United facing issues with profit and sustainability regulations (PSR).
Selling Garnacho - who arrived from Atletico Madrid for just £420,000 in 2021 - would represent pure profit as he classes as an academy player. United value the Argentine at £60million which would be the third-most expensive sale in the club’s history after Cristiano Ronaldo and Romelu Lukaku.

Napoli have been the most heavily linked club with Antonio Conte in the market for a new winger after reluctantly selling Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Paris Saint-Germain this month after he submitted a transfer request.
The Serie A side face competition from Chelsea who are yet to bid for the youngster but are believed to be strong admirers of both Garnacho and his teammate Kobbie Mainoo.
With just days remaining in the window, an unexpected twist in the tale could mean Liverpool play a huge part in sealing Garnacho’s exit from Old Trafford.

It’s believed interest has cooled from Napoli in recent days with the club looking at alternatives to signing United’s prized asset with Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi high on their list.
However, Corriere dello Sport claim Liverpool are also in the market for a new forward and have their eyes fixed on Adeyemi. Should the Dortmund star opt for a move to Anfield, Napoli might be left with no choice but to meet United’s demands and seal a move for Garnacho.
Arne Slot is yet to make a signing in the window but Liverpool are known for their swift business and getting deals across the line in a matter of hours.

Napoli’s sporting director Giovanni Manna confirmed they are interested in the United star as well as Adeyemi but warned selling clubs they will not be bullied into overpaying.
He told DAZN: “These are two names that are of interest to us, they are players we like, but they are not the only ones.
“We are trying to evaluate a few things and looking at the opportunities, but we certainly will not pay prices that are outside the market value.”
Garnacho has started United’s last two games against Rangers and Fulham with Ruben Amorim admitting after the win at Craven Cottage that he doesn’t currently know where the youngster fits into his team and refused to confirm he would be staying.

"That, nobody knows. Anything can happen," he told reporters. "He is improving in every department of the game, the way he recovers, the understanding of the game when he defends. I am trying to find the best position for him. Today he played a little bit more open, not so much inside. We need guys with the one-against-one. I don't know what is going to happen until the end of the window."
