Alejandro Garnacho was heckled by the fan ahead of the visit of PAOK in the Europa League.

Alejandro Garnacho was involved in a heated altercation after being heckled by a Manchester United fan at Old Trafford.

United take on PAOK in the Europa League on Thursday night in search of their first victory in the competition this season. But upon arrival for the game, Garnacho received criticism from a supporter.

In a video doing rounds on social media, the fan can be heard calling for Garnacho to be better at passing, his first touch and asked for him to score a goal.

He said: "Garnacho, you've got to pass better today, please. Pass better today, score a goal and work on your first touch."

Garnacho was posing for pictures and signing autographs for young fans when he heard the comments but angrily reacted with a face full of a thunder and appeared to reply, "Why are you not playing?".

He then walked away into the stadium to prepare for the 8pm kick-off.

But plenty of United fans enjoyed the response from Garnacho and the way in which he handled the situation.

One wrote: "Garna cooked him hard."

A second commented: "He’s actually cooked him."

A third added: "Well said Garnacho!"

A fourth user weighed in: "As much as I don’t like Garnacho that’s the absolute perfect response."

A final person commented: "Shocked that an Argentina international with an FA Cup medal to his name isn't interested in learning how to improve his game from 'Planet Faz' off the internet."

Garnacho has made 16 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring six goals and registering four assists. United's poor form led to Erik ten Hag being dismissed but Garnacho is confident the team will improve in the coming months under new boss Ruben Amorim.

"Of course, it’s a bit difficult at this moment, but the most important thing is to keep going,” he told the United Review, as per The Mirror.

“The season has only just started and we need to try and improve as a team to win every game and make our fans proud.

“Hopefully, we will improve over the next few months to have a great season and to win a trophy.”
