Man City player told he's 'finished' by supporters after Bournemouth disasterclass

Man City player told he's 'finished' by supporters after Bournemouth disasterclass

Manchester City fans all laid into the same player after a shock 2-1 loss to Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Manchester City fans have decided one player's time is up after a poor display away at Bournemouth on Saturday.

City were looking to bounce back from the 2-1 Carabao Cup defeat to Spurs in midweek but were condemned to a second successive defeat as they failed to capitalise on Arsenal's early kick-off loss to Newcastle.

Pep Guardiola's side lost 2-1, with Antoine Semenyo and Evanilson scoring for the hosts before Josko Gvardiol bagged a consolation header late on.

There were a number of below par displays from a City perspective but there was one in particular that gained a lot of focus from supporters.

Kyle Walker returned to captain the side after a spell out with injury but struggled immensely at right-back. Having always been so strong and quick in duels, Walker looked a shadow of his former self against the unplayable Semenyo and his difficulties earlier in the season were there to see once again.

Both goals came from down his side, with the second seeing him get beaten before being unable to cut out the cross to Evanilson.

The former Spurs defender was so poor, in fact, that fans have concluded that the 33-year-old is done at the top level.

One fan said: "Antoine Semenyo vs Kyle Walker is BRUTAL... and not for the Bournemouth forward."

A second wrote: "Absolutely pathetic defence, Kyle Walker at the heart of it as well just letting his man get past and causally cross it."

A third added: "Respect Kyle Walker, but in the nicest way possible he’s passed it now."

A fourth agreed, commenting: "Kyle Walker please just realise who you are and what you need to do to go and find yourself."

A final user simply stated: "GET RID OF KYLE WALKER NOWWWWWWWW."

City return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Sporting CP in the Champions League, before they head back to the South Coast and play Brighton in the Premier League in a week's time.
