David Ornstein has commented on Manchester City's 115 charges case relating to alleged financial rule breaches.
A private hearing into the charges was held in London last year, with City originally being charged by the Premier League back in February 2023.
The club strenuously deny any wrongdoing and claim that their defence is supported by a 'body of irrefutable evidence'.

A minority of the charges also relate to alleged UEFA financial rule breaches.
Should City be found guilty of any breaches as part of the final verdict, they could face punishments ranging from severe fines, points deductions or even relegation in the harshest scenario.
Updates on the case since the beginning of the hearing, however, have been scarce, with The Telegraph reporting in April that a final verdict is not expected until at least 'before the summer'.
Even then, either party can appeal the verdict, with counter-appeals also possible, meaning it could be some time until we get a definitive outcome on the case.
Now, Ornstein has hinted at the potential underlying frustrations surrounding those delays as part of a Q&A forum on The Athletic.

When asked whether he had any news on the 115 charges, he simply replied: "Zero."
In an interview with the i Paper last month, legal expert Maxime van den Dijssel, of Brandsmiths law firm, explained that the process could even take until beyond the end of next season.
"Arbitration won't necessarily pay attention to the frenzy around it. They'll have a lot of material to get through, the stakes are very high, and they need to cover all bases.
"They won't want to leave any room for either side to argue there is procedural unfairness.

"They will take that little bit longer to render a decision. It doesn't necessarily indicate it's going one way or another, it's more a matter of them doing their job as carefully as possible.
"I'm not surprised it's taking this long. It's common for things to take this long. They have to all effectively sit in a room and decide and go through it, and when there's that much material, it makes sense that it would take this long."
