David Ornstein has provided a major update on Man City's ongoing legal battle with the Premier League and revealed exactly when we can expect a full verdict.
The hearing into City's alleged breaches took place in front of an independent commission between September and December 2024.
The charges mainly relate to a nine-year period, starting in 2009 and ending in 2018, with City accused of multiple alleged breaches - with the club denying all charges.

Pep Guardiola's side were charged with failing to provide accurate information, failing to provide accurate details for player and manager payments, breaching profit and sustainability rules (PSR), failing to comply with UEFA regulations including financial fair play (FFP) and failing to cooperate with Premier League investigations.
Ahead of City's clash with Premier League leaders Liverpool on NBC, Ornstein explained that we can expect the verdict from the hearing very soon.
"Spring time so a month or two," Ornstein claimed when asked on a potential decision date.

The Athletic reporter also stressed that City are extremely confident they will not be punished for the charges, with their excessive January business not a result of a potential transfer ban.
"From City's perspective' they are totally confident they will be exonerated and prove their innocence," he added.

"They're operating as usual, and we saw them do a lot of business in January window, but none of that business to my knowledge was to preempt potential punishments as they don't believe they will be punished.

"In the contract negotiations they have held over the last few years there have been no clauses have been inserted into those deals to say 'if City are punished this is going to happen'.
"Players want to join Man City and they're continuing with everything they're doing."
However, despite City's optimism if they are found guilty the commission has 'unlimited powers' which include enforcing a potential points deduction or relegation, according to BBC Sport.
