Brazilian outfit Fluminense announced the signing of Erling Haaland from Manchester City, only for it to be confirmed that their official website was hacked.
On Monday the Serie A side confirmed that the City marksman had joined the club "after intense negotiations and a great effort from our board". The club added that Haaland’s arrival will mark “a decisive milestone in the turnaround of our season".
It later emerged in the Brazilian outlet GE that Fluminense had their account hacked by an X user and that the problem was subsequently resolved.

Haaland was part of the City team that missed out on the FA Cup over the weekend. The striker who is set to take part in Norway’s friendlies against Kosovo and Denmark next month, netted 38 goals in 45 appearances this season.
According to Brazilian outlet ge.globo Haaland's represented 'contacted' Fluminense on Tuesday to ask why this article had been published, with the Brazil side confirming their website had been invaded by hackers.
Elsewhere, Thiago Silva signed for Fluminense earlier this month, with over 30,000 supporters having already secured a ticket to watch Silva unveiled at the Maracana.

The Blues agreed that Silva could join Fluminense before his registration with the club on July 1, with the veteran defender signing a two-year deal.
In an emotional video to the Chelsea fans, Silva said upon announcing his departure: "Chelsea means a lot to me. I came here with the intention of only staying for a year and it ended up being four years. Not just for me but for my family, too.
"My sons play for Chelsea so it’s a source of great pride to be a part of the Chelsea family – literally because my sons are here. I hope they can continue their careers here at this victorious club that many players wish to be part of.

"I think in everything I did here over the four years, I always gave my all. But, unfortunately, everything has a start, a middle and an end. That doesn’t mean that this is a definitive end. I hope to leave the door open so that in the near future I can return, albeit in another role here. But…it’s an indescribable love. I can only say thank you."
