An incredible Erling Haaland statistic has emerged after his five-goal haul for Manchester City against Luton - and it makes for bad reading for Manchester United.
The Norwegian scored a first half hat-trick inside 40 minutes during the FA Cup tie at Kenilworth Road, with Kevin De Bruyne assisting on all three occasions.
He then scored two more after half-time, with De Bruyne and then Bernardo Silva the providers.

From having never scored a goal against Luton - the only Premier League side he had not scored against - Haaland ensured the Hatters became the team he has netted most against. All inside 69 minutes.
Despite those heroics, it wasn't as straightforward a night as City might have hoped for.
Haaland put them 3-0 up in the first half, but a brace from Jordan Clark either side of half-time brought Rob Edwards' side back into the contest.

City, though, had too much for them in the second half, with Mateo Kovacic completing the scoring with a superb curling effort into the corner of the net late on.
But the nature of Haaland's goalscoring will no doubt concern Manchester United supporters.
That is because, in the space of one game, the Norway international has matched the goal tally of Marcus Rashford across the entire 2023/24 season.
Rashford has scored five goals in the Premier League from 25 appearances this term, and has failed to add to his tally in other competitions.

And while his form has improved in recent weeks - he has three goals in his last eight matches - there have still been some concerns over his performances across the whole season.
But United are in FA Cup fifth round action themselves on Wednesday evening, where they will take on Nottingham Forest at the City Ground, meaning Rashford does have the opportunity to re-find some of his goalscoring touch.
