Manchester City’s potential Pep Guardiola successor could help them secure their dream Erling Haaland replacement.
Since joining City from Borussia Dortmund last summer, Haaland has been breaking records left, right and centre.
In 53 appearances across all competitions during the 22/23 season, the Norwegian managed to score 52 goals and also assisted nine.

Haaland was a huge part of City’s historic run to clinching the treble.
Recently, City have been linked with Brighton and Hove Albion star Evan Ferguson.
According to iNews, City are weighing up a bid for Ferguson, which is rumoured to be a figure close to £150 million.

City’s pursuit of Ferguson could well be helped by their potential replacement for Guardiola, which could be Seagulls boss Roberto De Zerbi.
It was claimed by The Telegraph that Guardiola approached three Brighton players on the back of their 1-1 draw back in May.
Here, he nodded towards De Zerbi and said, "That’s the next Man City manager."

Previously, the Spaniard has been full of praise for the Italian.
He said: “Pay attention to what I’m about to say because I’m convinced in what I’m saying that [Roberto De Zerbi] is one of the most influential managers in the last 20 years.
“There is no team that plays the way they play, it’s unique. Congratulations to Brighton for this incredible achievement of getting into Europe. I had the feeling that when he arrived I had an idea the impact he would have on the Premier League would be great but I couldn’t expect him to do it in such a short time.”
City are set to face Brighton this weekend as the Premier League returns after the international break.
