With 69 minutes on the clock, Suarez completed his hattrick as Gremio went on to record a brilliant 4-3 victory.
The 36-year-old has proved he is still one of the deadliest strikers around as he continues to be linked with a move to MLS side Inter Miami.
Suarez is expected to join up with former Barcelona teammate Messi in Miami ahead of the 2024 MLS season.
According to ESPN, Suarez has already agreed to a one-year deal with an option for a further season.

As per GOAL, he said: “It will take a miracle [for Suarez to stay]. He already has plans for 2024. He made that clear a few months ago and I’m not expecting a miracle. It’s his decision.
“I’d like him to stay, but we have to be honest with our fans. If he ends up staying, it’ll be a miracle, and that miracle comes down to him.”
Saurez has previously spoken about a move to the MLS, he told Cadena Ser, as per the Daily Mirror: “With Messi in Miami in a few years? Hopefully. On and off the pitch we’ve been good together.
“There is nothing better than seeing two colleagues happy outside so that they perform inside.”
