Jurgen Klopp has revealed exactly what he told his players when he decided he was going to leave Liverpool.
Klopp sent the football community into chaos yesterday morning, as the German announced he would be stepping down as Liverpool manager at the end of the season with an emotional video message.
Klopp has been at Liverpool since 2015 when he took over from Brendan Rodgers, since his arrival he has won every single trophy that has been on offer including Liverpool's first league title in the Premier League era.
Klopp reportedly revealed the decision to his squad during a team meeting that was set to discuss the club's pre-season preparation for the 24/25 season.

Obviously, Klopp's decision means he won't be present for the pre-season so the 56-year-old took the opportunity to be transparent with his squad.
“The players didn’t have a lot of questions, I spoke to them all together and then a few after that. We have a really strong bond," Klopp said.
“Usually when a manager is in a dressing room and talks like that he got sacked. It isn’t like that because of the things we achieved so that is why my responsibility is so big.
“We had last year’s situation and I think a lot of managers would have got the sack and there was never any intention to do that and my responsibility grows and grows, so when it is not right anymore I have to tell," The Liverpool boss revealed.

The details of Klopp's speech to the players have also been revealed through The Athletic's report.
"During his short speech to the players, Klopp joked that his exit was partly their fault because Liverpool had reached such a high level so soon that he felt he could pass the baton on to someone else. He talked up the talent in a youthful, vibrant squad. Being able to leave Liverpool in a good place."
