Virgil van Dijk has followed Mo Salah in giving a shock update on his Liverpool contract situation.
Last week, Salah caused a huge stir when he went out of his way to speak to media after Liverpool's win over Southampton and reveal that he is yet to receive a contract offer and is "probably more out than in".
Salah is out of contract in the summer and will be free to speak to foreign clubs in January if he does not pen to paper before then.

In the viral video, Liverpool skipper Van Dijk was seen smirking as he walked past. But the Dutchman is also in the same boat and ahead of the crunch clash with Manchester City on Sunday, he has admitted that there is no news in regards to him agreeing a new deal.
However, he did stress that conversations are taking place between the club and his representative.
"To be honest, no.. there is no update, there is no news," he said in an interview with Viaplay.

"So I have nothing to share to you. If you read reports about agreements done, or no agreements, all of that is NOT TRUE. Everything has to fit together. Of course there are conversations going on between the club and my agent, but right now I have nothing to share. I am focused on playing football, I want to end the season successfully, and let's see what next year brings."
Van Dijk's comments come after a report claimed it is a "formality" that Van Dijk will sign a new deal and that his agent has been "telling interested parties that he's no longer attainable".
On Wednesday, a reporter asked Van Dijk about his predicament and then called for him to sign for last opponents Real Madrid as they "need defenders", with David Alaba and Eder Militao injured.

He replied: "[Antonio] Rudiger is there?".
When the journalist followed up and asked, "Maybe you in Real Madrid?", Van Dijk responded "When?", to which the journalist said: "In the summer."
The Netherlands international then said, "Wow. I don't know, the main focus for me is facing Man City."
Van Dijk signed for Liverpool in January 2018 for £75 million, a world record fee for a defender at the time. He has gone on to win the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
