Liverpool fans have reacted to a video involving Trent Alexander- Arnold – and it’s fair to say they’re not best pleased.
Alexander-Arnold, 26, will see his Liverpool contract expire this summer if no new deal can be agreed before June 30, 2024.
The Liverpudlian has been heavily linked with a move to La Liga side Real Madrid and can even engage in talks regarding a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs from January 1, 2025.

Of course, he is not the only Liverpool player whose future is still uncertain.
Mohamed Salah spoke out regarding his contract situation last Sunday, while Virgil van Dijk is also out of contract at the end of the season.
Although Alexander-Arnold missed out on Liverpool’s 2-0 win against Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday evening, the Reds faithful have voiced their thoughts on something else he did this week.

A video was posted on the club’s official X account on Friday morning, in which the defender discusses how he used to ‘pretend’ to be former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard.
“When you were to hit it, you’d scream ‘Gerrard’,” explained Alexander-Arnold.
“I loved [Fernando] Torres, Luis Garcia, [Luis] Suarez, but [Steven] Gerrard was the one for me,” he added when discussing his idols.
Although normally, this would not be an issue, talking about Liverpool players of the past in such glowing terms has not gone down so well, given his contract situation.

Fans were quick to give their thoughts on social media.
One said: “Stay and continue your beautiful legacy lad!”
Another added: “Sign the contract and say you wanna stay.”

With saying: “Weird timing why even bother doing something like this when you are clearly willing to throw it all away to play with your buddy and rob Liverpool of a transfer fee, not to mention holding the club hostage for what is clearly unreasonable wage demands.”
A fourth exclaimed: “No new contract? I think i will pass this one.”
While a fifth asked: “Do you want to be Steve Macmanaman or Stevie G?”
Arne Slot revealed that Trent will be fit enough to play in the Premier League crunch match against Manchester City at Anfield this Sunday.
