A respected journalist has dropped a major update on the future of Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold with his contract due to expire next year.
The right-back will be free to discuss a pre-contract with overseas clubs once he enters the final six months of his deal.
The 26-year-old has spent his entire career with Liverpool, having joined their academy at the age of six.

In fact, he is now approaching 20 years as a member of the Anfield club.
But this season could be his last as a Liverpool player, with no new contract having yet been signed.
He is one of three Liverpool stars in the final year of their deal, with Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah also yet to commit to fresh terms.

Spanish outlet Fichajes claimed that Real Madrid were planning a £10 million bid to sign Alexander-Arnold to take advantage of his contract status.
But speaking on the 'Walk On' podcast, The Athletic's James Pearce says there is 'no chance' of the right-back leaving in January.
He explained: "There's absolutely zero chance that Trent will go anywhere in January.
"I saw some nonsense about Real Madrid planning a bid for him in January. I don't believe that's true, absolute nonsense.

"My information at the moment is that there is no decision that has been taken, those [contract] talks are still ongoing."
Alexander-Arnold broke his silence on his contract status earlier this year, stating: "Look, I have been at the club 20 years now. I have signed four or five contract extensions and none of those have been played out in public. And this one won't be either.
"I want to be a Liverpool player this season, is what I will say."

Alexander-Arnold is currently Liverpool's vice-captain, a role he has held since the beginning of the 2022/23 season under Jurgen Klopp.
