Mohamed Salah and Jurgen Klopp’s spat stole the headlines during Liverpool’s draw against West Ham.
The Liverpool forward caught everyone by surprise with his actions as he prepared to enter the pitch as a substitute after being dropped following the Merseyside derby defeat to Everton.
Salah had to be restrained by Darwin Nunez of all people as words were exchanged during a feisty clash with his manager, just seconds before West Ham scored their equaliser.

Salah and Klopp did not shake hands at full-time as the Egyptian was the first Liverpool player to head straight down the tunnel as their slim title chances fizzled out for good.
Klopp immediately poured cold water on the spat insisting the incident was done in his post-match interviews before Salah reignited the row with a comment as he walked past journalists in the mixed zone.
Now, new information has come to light which explains exactly why the touchline altercation occurred, with Salah’s refusal to hug Klopp before he entered the pitch as the main reason.

A source told The Sun: “This has happened occasionally with Jurgen and other players.
"He is very big on interaction with his subs before they go on and felt it didn't happen at first with Mo.
"Mo was obviously annoyed at being left out of the team and wasn't in the best of moods while Jurgen wasn't happy with his behaviour.”
They added: “The players were given a couple of days off after the match and are meeting up again on Tuesday.

"It is hoped that by then tensions will have calmed down."
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher weighed into the debate over the incident and insisted that fans don’t need to take sides as Klopp counts down the days until his exit from the club.

He wrote on X: “Mo Salah & Jurgen Klopp are both @LFC legends. We don’t need to take sides! Salah is frustrated & angry with Jurgen that he’s not playing & at that moment didn’t want to fully embrace the boss, Jurgen understandably took exception.
“Mo was daft with his comment in the mixed zone, but let’s let them sort it out & enjoy the last few weeks together. They’ve been a massive help to each other in all that’s been achieved at the club!”
Salah will have only one year remaining on his contract in the summer when Feyenoord boss Arne Slot is expected to replace Klopp in the dugout.
