Richard Keys has dropped a huge bombshell regarding who will be the next Liverpool manager.
Since Jurgen Klopp announced he was stepping down as Liverpool boss at the end of the season, Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso has been tipped to replace the German.
Alonso, a former Liverpool player, has led Leverkusen to an unbeaten season in all competitions this term, with his Leverkusen side some 10 points clear of Bayern Munich at the summit of the Bundesliga.

Last weekend, however, Sky Germany claimed that Alonso looked poised to reject both Liverpool and Bayern, who will also have a managerial vacancy at the end of the season, to continue at Leverkusen for another year.
The publication added that even if Alonso were to leave, Bayern would be his preferred choice over Liverpool. The Merseyside club is, as per the report, set to turn its attention to Sporting CP boss Ruben Amorim instead.
However, former Sky Sports anchor and current beIN Sports presenter Keys has heard differently, claiming that Alonso has already decided on Liverpool.

Writing in his blog Keys said: “Deschamps? Yes. Zidane? Yes. I was laughed out of court at the back end of last year when I said they should go and get Alonso – agree a deal with his ‘people’ and guarantee him five years to get it right.
“My critics said ‘No. what’s he done? It’s too soon. Really? Well, 3 months on it’s not too soon for Liverpool to have got him to agree to become their next manager. As I always say when I share news like this – these big deals can always go wrong. There’s a lot to go wrong when they’re blue riband, whether it’s a player or coach/manager involved, but my information is that Alonso has decided on Liverpool.
“If I’m a Liverpool fan – that excites me. What United have got to do is better that appointment. Would Southgate turning up at OT do that?”
