Liverpool fans want Arne Slot to act this month.

Liverpool fans are 'worried' about ONE player and are demanding Arne Slot takes action following their defeat to Tottenham in the Carabao Cup.

Liverpool lost 1-0 to Spurs in their semi-final first-leg at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday.

Lucas Bergvall scored the only goal of the game four minutes from time to give his side a one-goal advantage heading into next month's second-leg at Anfield.

Ange Postecoglou gave a rant as he explained why Bergvall should not have been sent off after avoiding a second yellow card moments before his match-winning strike.

As for Liverpool, it's just their second defeat of the campaign.

But Liverpool fans online want Slot to delve into the transfer market for a new centre-back after watching Jarell Quansah's performance at the back.

Quansah, who has made 10 appearances across all competitions this season, was replaced before the break after not feeling well.

Supporters are 'worried' for the 21-year-old as they made their feelings known on social media.

One X user wrote: "I’m really worried about Quansah. I had no faith in him at all that first half. Felt more confident when Endo came on. It’s clear we need another defender in January."

A second tweeted: "Unbelievable how bad Quansah is. Can’t do a thing right."

A third added: "Even before he went off, what has happened to Quansah? Don’t know his confidence has been shot to pieces, but he was struggling to even place a simple pass."

A fourth commented: "Quansah's done the classic Sunday League thing where you drop a 0/10 and pretend to be injured."

Speaking after the result, Slot explained why Quansah was taken off.

"He didn’t feel really well, so from the moment the game started until the moment we had to take him off, he felt a pressure, I think he said on his chest," he said during his post-match conference.

"It went so fast: he came off and the game started again, so I have to ask him exactly, but he said he didn’t feel really well. It was not an injury, more not feeling really well.

"In the last few days he was a bit ill but we thought he was on his way back, but maybe that had something to do with it. I have to ask, but it had nothing to do with an injury."
