Roy Hodgson has enjoyed a long, respectable career in the game but it's claimed once sold the wrong player by mistake during his time as Liverpool manager.
Hodgson's spell was Anfield was a monumental disappointment and he lasted less than a season on Merseyside - leaving by mutual consent with the club four points off the relegation zone.
He was then replaced by Kenny Dalglish on 8 January.
Hodgson made plenty of questionable calls as Liverpool boss but undoubtedly his worst was getting rid of the wrong player in his only transfer window at the helm.

The story goes that Hodgson went back to former club Fulham to sign Paul Konchesky for a fee of £4 million.
The deal saw Liverpool youngsters Lauri Dalla Vale and Alexander Kacaniklic head in the opposite direction.
However, it later transpired, courtesy of Kacaniklic, that Hodgson had actually offloaded the wrong 'Alex' and by the time he realised, it was too late to halt the move.

"It was a bit difficult for Liverpool to replace me," the Swede said, as per Liverpool Echo.
"In his head, he thought he had changed another Alex for Konchesky. But then it was too late. It's a little funny.
"Then he just told me I was welcome back in Liverpool with open arms, but that I should do what I felt. Then I had already changed my mind and was very excited about coming to Fulham."
Fortunately for Hodgson, Kacaniklic didn't quite go on to become a superstar. The Swede managed 100 appearances for Fulham in the Premier League and the Championship, scoring 11 goals during that time.

He also endured fairly unsuccessful loan spells in with Watford and Burnley before moving to Nantes for free in 2016. However, he failed to score across three seasons at the French club.
Kacaniklic, capped 21 times by Sweden, currently plies his trade with Cypriot side AEL Limassol.
