Liverpool are considering a surprise move for PSG star Marco Verratti as Jurgen Klopp continues his summer rebuild, according to reports in France.
Liverpool have already allowed Roberto Firmino, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita to leave the club last month, while the Reds have brought in new midfielders Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.
Both Mac Allister and Szoboszlai could both make their debuts for Liverpool on Wednesday when they take on Karlsruher in their opening pre-season friendly in Germany.

But the Merseyside club will be without Fabinho, who was not part of the travelling squad as speculation continues over his future.
Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal have made a £40m offer for the Brazilian, according to The Guardian.
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has also been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, with Steven Gerrard's Al Etiffaq interested in signing the midfielder.
Meanwhile, Football Insider claim Liverpool are prepared to listen to offers for another of their midfielder, Thiago Alcantara.

Should one or more Fabinho, Henderson and Thiago leave, Liverpool will need to sign further midfield reinforcements.

Atletico Madrid are already in talks to sign Verratti but Liverpool are said to be 'waiting in the wings' if those negotiations break down.
Verratti has spent the last 11 seasons at PSG and could be sold following Luis Enrique's appointment as manager.
The Italian midfielder has scored 11 goals in 416 games for PSG, winning nine Ligue 1 titles in the process, and was described last year as a 'genius' by his club teammate Neymar.
Speaking after a victory over Real Madrid in the Champions League in 2022, Neymar said: "I knew Verratti was a great player. But I didn't realise he was so spectacular. A genius.

"He's one of the best midfielders I've ever played with, along with Xavi and [Andres] Iniesta."
