An update regarding Trent Alexander-Arnold’s proposed transfer to Real Madrid has emerged.
Alexander-Arnold has an important role in Arne Slot's new-look Reds side, who have been in fine form since the former Feyenoord manager arrived at Anfield in the summer.
So far, Slot has guided his side to five wins out of a possible six, with the single blot on his record coming in a shock home defeat to Nottingham Forest last month.

In Europe, Liverpool have built their domestic form with two routine victories against AC Milan two weeks ago, and Bologna on Wednesday evening, allowing Slot to make history in the process.
Initially, there were question marks regarding the relationship between the Dutch manager and the 25-year-old after Alexander-Arnold appeared annoyed when being substituted during a home win against Brentford earlier this season.
However, since the incident, the right-back has dismissed any rumours of a feud, saying: "I said to him [Slot] that I would like to be the defender that no-one wants to come up against in Europe.

"We agreed that he will be harsh on me. If any time an attacker gets by me and gets past me, he will call it out in meetings, and individual meetings, and say this cannot happen.
“We go through every game together, and he highlights where he wants me to improve. Even after the Milan game, we had about 20 clips going through what I could have done better and the good parts as well.
"It is really refreshing to have a manager who will help and guide and teach me how to be better as a player. I am someone who wants to learn, someone who wants to be the best and someone who strives to be the best ever."

As fans have come to expect, the Liverpool-born man has continued to regularly provide opportunities for his teammates and has two assists in all competitions to his name so far this season.
Last summer, there was some speculation that the England international could move on from his boyhood club with Real Madrid heavily linked. However, according to Caught Offside, the 15-time European champions may turn their attention to another Premier League right-back if their pursuit of Alexander-Arnold fails.
The report suggests Madrid could aim to sign Tottenham defender Pedro Porro, with Carlo Ancelotti said to be an admirer of the Spaniard. It is not confirmed, but a fee of around €65 million, which converts to nearly £55 million, could tempt Spurs to sell their first-choice right-back.
Porro has four years left on his deal at Spurs having signed for the club in January 2023 from Sporting Lisbon on an initial loan deal before it became permanent over the summer.
