Liverpool are reportedly plotting a shock move for Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall as a bargain 'alternative' to Romeo Lavia.
Liverpool have already signed midfield duo Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai for a combined £95 million this summer, as Jurgen Klopp eyes a major revamp to his midfield.
The pair have helped make up for the loss of James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, but the unexpected departures of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho has left the Reds in dire need of reinforcements.

However, talks have reached an 'impasse' with the Saints over a possible deal, according to the Liverpool Echo, after Liverpool had a £37 million bid rejected by Southampton.
Meanwhile, James Pearce of The Athletic has claimed that the Merseyside outfit are "unwilling" to meet Southampton's £50 million price tag and have started to look for alternatives. The report adds that "Liverpool simply have to invest as a matter of urgency".

Among those on Liverpool's new list is Dewsbury-Hall, who also suffered relegation with Leicester last season.
That's according to Anfield Watch, who claim that "Liverpool's scouting team has been closely monitoring Dewsbury-Hall's progress over the past season, and the club's interest in him has grown substantially."
It remains to be seen whether Leicester City would be willing to negotiate with Liverpool over a potential transfer, with the 24-year-old under contract at the King Power Stadium until 2027.
The publication adds that Dewsbury-hall is signed with the agency Wasserman, who Liverpool are thought to have a healthy relationship with.
