Liverpool star Ibrahima Konate has appeared to commit his future to the club amid transfer interest from PSG - in a major boost to incoming manager Arne Slot.
Slot officially took over from Jurgen Klopp at midnight on June 1, with pre-season getting underway next month.
It won't exactly be an ideal start for the Dutchman in terms of getting his tactical messages across, with most of his squad on international duty for Euro 2024 or the Copa America during July.

But another dilemma he will likely have is in the transfer department, with Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk all entering the final year of their contracts.
While there has seemingly been no concrete interest in any of that trio - despite Salah being the subject of heavy Saudi Pro League links last summer - centre-back Konate has been a wanted man.
According to French outlet L'Equipe, PSG have 'sounded out' the France international's representatives over a potential move to Parc des Princes.

But the player himself, speaking in an interview with RMC Sport ahead of Euro 2024, has appeared to pour cold water on those rumours.
He said: "I'm happy at Liverpool, so my head is there. I don't even think about it [a transfer]. I am focused on the pitch and the Euros this summer.
"It's a bit logical [links to PSG], because I was born in France and in Paris. I have six older brothers, and they all support PSG.

"We watched a lot of matches together and I went to the stadium a lot when I was younger. There is a little story with PSG - but I made my own.
"I played at Sochaux then Leipzig before Liverpool. I am happy there, and I am not paying too much attention."
Konate has two years left on his current contract at Anfield, with the Reds reportedly having opened talks with the 25-year-old over an improved deal.
