Trent Alexander-Arnold may not be the only Liverpool player potentially moving to Spain in the near future, as per recent reports.
Real Madrid have identified the England international as their top transfer target, with captain and current right-back Dani Carvajal sidelined with an ACL injury.
Alexander Arnold, whose contract expires in the summer, appeared to respond to reports in Spain claiming he is poised to join the 15-time European champions on a free transfer with his celebration against West Ham on 29 December.

Then, on New Year's Eve, The Times’ Paul Joyce reported that Real had made an approach to Liverpool over a January move.
It's said the proposal was "immediately rebuffed” by Liverpool, who provided "little encouragement".
Real are reportedly prepared to pay £20 million to buy out the final six months of Alexander-Arnold's contract.

But while the uncertainty over Alexander-Arnold's situation continues, another Liverpool star also has interest from Spain.
Luis Diaz keen on Barcelona move
Luis Diaz was a target for Barcelona in the summer, with the Blaugrana desperate to strengthen their forward-line. A move for the Colombian never happened and he has been in electric form for the Premier League and Champions League leaders, with 12 goals in all competitions.
But according to Sport, Barca are still keeping tabs on the former Porto man, with sporting director Deco a huge admirer.

Despite things appearing to go swimmingly at Anfield, it's said that Diaz is not completely satisfied on Merseyside as his entourage are angry over Liverpool not improving the contract.
The report adds that Diaz "wants to come" and after finding it "impossible" to do a deal last summer, Barcelona are hopeful that they can bring him in - feeling as though "he could be the piece" that they need to "make the definitive leap".
Rafael Leao, Kvicha Kvaratskhelia and Nico Williams have also been touted as targets but Diaz is the priority for Deco and Barcelona.

Diaz has a contract until 2027 and according to Fabrizio Romano, the club are calm about the situation.
"In August, some important clubs were prepared to attack the situation for him. It was never close but some clubs were prepared to attack and try to make something happen," Romano said on his YouTube channel in November.
“Richard Hughes and Arne Slot together were talking to Luis Diaz and presenting the new project. They introduced him to the new idea they had for the club for the present and the future. They were able to go the same way as Luis as part of their future plans.
Liverpool want to try to make a new deal happen with Lucho, so let’s see what’s going to happen.”
