Bayern Munich star Leroy Sane has already made his feelings clear on a transfer to Liverpool, after revealing talks he had with Jürgen Klopp back in 2018.
Sane, 27, enjoyed a stint in the top flight of English football from 2016 to 2020 after joining Manchester City from Schalke for around £45 million, but has now made a return to the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich.
The German international has seven goals across 11 appearances in all competitions this season, with English clubs such as Liverpool now being linked with a move for the former City man.
Liverpool received concrete interest from Saudi Pro League side Al-Itihhad for star man Mohamed Salah throughout the summer, with the Reds managing to keep hold of the Egyptian forward, for now.

Michael Emenalo [Saudi Pro League director of football] has spoken openly about his admiration for Salah, as the forward enters the final two years of his deal at the club. "Mo is welcome at any time. Mo is my personal favourite. There are many world-class players showing interest," he said.
"It's a place where you can go and have fun and definitely improve their economics."
Despite him staying on Merseyside, Klopp's side must now begin to plan for life without the 31-year-old, with the club possibly looking to revisit a deal for Sane as the heir to Salah's throne, according to The Mirror.

Speaking back in 2018, Sane revealed talks he had with Klopp regarding a possible move to Anfield.
"Yes, I was also talking with them. Jurgen was calling me too, talking to me. That was before I joined City," Sane told the Guardian.
"He did a good job at [Borussia] Dortmund – I met him when he was there. He's a good guy, nice guy - honest. He [has] worked well with Liverpool."
Sane currently has two years remaining on his deal at the Bavarian club, with rumours circulating regarding a possible extension to his deal.
