A shock new candidate has emerged as a potential replacement for Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
Last month, Liverpool were rocked by the shock announcement that Klopp will step down as manager when the 23/24 season comes to a close.
Speaking about his decision to leave the club, Klopp said: “I love absolutely everything about this club, I love everything about the city, I love everything about our supporters, I love the team, I love the staff. I love everything. But that I still take this decision shows you that I am convinced it is the one I have to take.

“It is that I am, how can I say it, running out of energy. I have no problem now, obviously, I knew it already for longer that I will have to announce it at one point, but I am absolutely fine now. I know that I cannot do the job again and again and again and again.”
Liverpool will now be working around the clock behind the scenes to identify the perfect replacement for Klopp.
Sky Sports reporter Melissa Reddy has picked out seven names that the Anfield club could be looking at.

The usual suspects - Xabi Alonso, Roberto De Zerbi and Thomas Frank were all included on the list alongside the likes of Ange Postecoglou, Julian Nagelsmann and Ruben Amorim.
However, Reddy picked out current Nice boss Francesco Farioli as one of the potential candidates, which could come as a surprise for many.
For those unfamiliar with Farioli, the Italian was working as De Zerbi’s goalkeeper coach at Benevento and Sassuolo before becoming a manager.

According to the report, Farioli, 34 has impressed with ‘punching above their weight’ work at Alanyaspor and Nice.
Farioli’s side are currently third in the Ligue 1 table, one point behind second-place Brest and 14 points adrift of runaway leaders Paris Saint Germain.
