Jamie Carragher has backed himself to have a big impact on where Xabi Alonso ends up next season, as the Bayer Leverkusen manager is linked with both Liverpool and Bayern Munich.
Jurgen Klopp shook the foundations of European football when he announced last month that he would be stepping down from Liverpool at the end of the season.
The German has been part of the furniture at Liverpool since he arrived in 2015, but Liverpool's worries were slightly eased when it became apparent Xabi Alonso was the front-runner to be Klopp's successor.

However, Bayern Munich have thrown a potential spanner in the works as they have also confirmed that they will be appointing a new manager with Thomas Tuchel leaving at the end of the season.
Since the announcement of Tuchel's departure, it has been revealed Bayern will also make Xabi Alonso their priority in the summer according to Sky Germany.
"The 42 y/o is now the absolute top candidate to replace Thomas Tuchel at the end of the season," claims Florian Plettenberg.

On this week's CBS Champions League show, Jamie Carragher was quizzed on the situation regarding his former teammate with CBS even dubbing him 'Agent Carra" on twitter.
"Yes (Is Bayern's interest bad for Liverpool) if there is other people in for his signature of course," Carragher explained.
"it will be interesting, who knows if he's going to leave Leverkusen, but I feel if he goes on to do what we think and he goes on to win the title it might be difficult to stay because he will have some great offers."
"Fingers crossed it's my Liverpool and I can make a case for that," The former Liverpool defender added.

Carragher responded: "He's got his full focus on Leverkusen but he's still seeing my Instagram stories, so I can still see he's checking in on me."
