Jamie Carragher appeared to aim another dig at Arsenal despite their dominant win over Liverpool in the Premier League.
On Sunday, Liverpool produced a dismal display as they fell to a 3-1 defeat against the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium.
As a result, Mikel Arteta’s men are now only two points behind Liverpool, who stayed top of the table.

After the match, Carragher was left unimpressed by the Gunners’ celebrations at full-time.
Speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, Carragher appeared to aim another dig by saying Arsenal only have a slim chance of winning the title despite their convincing victory over his former club.
The ex-Liverpool man said: “They were better in all areas. The big thing that stood out was how strong they were defensively. I never felt a goal was coming for Liverpool.

“I said after that it was a better result for City than Arsenal, but they have a slim chance of the title. That comes on how good they are defensively, I think they are best in the league.”
Carragher continued: “We saw that with what Liverpool did. You go back to City at the Emirates, the two best attacking teams went there and never looked like scoring. They defended in two different ways, aggressive in a four, four, two and man-to-man.
“I couldn’t believe Darwin Nunez didn’t start. Then we go to on the ball and it was the box in midfield, players between the lines and it is very Brighton-like. It’s very difficult for Liverpool. I don’t think Arsenal made enough of the situations, but that’s the set-up and how easy it was.
“I just think defensively Arsenal were on a completely different level to Liverpool. That’s the hope for Arsenal in terms of winning the title.”

Gunners boss Arteta said during his post-match press conference: “The thing is that to be the best, and have the best mentality you have to do it every three days, and that’s the challenge that we have, certainly we showed that today, especially against in my opinion the most in form team in Europe and now we have to do it tomorrow when we train, the next day, against West Ham and continue, when we have that body language, that attitude, that energy in the team we are a really difficult team to beat.”
