Diogo Jota has addressed Liverpool's disastrous week in the club's season following their defeat to Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final.
Newcastle secured their first trophy in 70 years with a 2-1 victory over Liverpool in Sunday's final at Wembley Stadium.
Dan Burn opened the scoring with a powerful header just before the break, with Alexander Isak doubling his side's advantage with a stunning finish in the 52nd minute.

Second-half substitute Federico Chiesa pulled one back in stoppage time following a VAR review.
But Newcastle held on for the win to end their wait for a major prize.
Liverpool weren't at the races and the defeat comes after their Champions League elimination to Paris Saint-Germain earlier in the week as fans made their feelings clears on ONE player following their latest setback.

Arne Slot's side were dumped out of Europe following their 4-1 penalty shootout defeat at Anfield.
The Reds, however, remain in the driving seat to claim the Premier League title and Jota, who started the Carabao Cup final, insists they will 'fight' for the league.
He also bemoaned his team's showing as he addressed the club's disastrous week.
On X, he wrote: "Not good enough today! A very disappointing week for everyone that supports @LFC... We will be back soon to fight for the league."

Speaking after Liverpool's defeat to Newcastle, Slot referenced their defeat to PSG as he criticised the 'disappointing' performance.
"Disappointing result, disappointing performance," he said. "So, completely different than I felt after the Paris Saint-Germain game. Losing twice in a row is something I think we do for the first time. But that probably also comes with going into the latter stages of a tournament, so facing Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle in a final are two very good teams, both in their own styles.
"But very difficult teams to face, because we already knew from the game at St. James' Park how difficult it is to beat them. It was a tough week, but it was also a week where we extended our lead [in the Premier League] to 12 points from it being 10, so it wasn’t all negative. But the last two were definitely not the way we wanted it to be."
