Liverpool 'really like' a Premier League star as Arne Slot could complete a deal for the player ahead of the transfer deadline.
Liverpool have yet to recruit anyone this summer, having failed in their pursuit to sign Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad.
But Slot remains in the market for new talent ahead of getting their new season underway.
And, according to journalist David Lynch, the Reds are keeping tabs on Wolves defender Rayan Ait-Nouri, having already held talks.

Slot is on the hunt for another left-back to provide competition for Andy Robertson, who has been a regular starter for Liverpool since his transfer in 2017.
Ait-Nouri, 23, made 33 league appearances last season, scoring two goals as he impressed on the left flank.
He could be Slot's first signing as Liverpool boss if the club decide to pursue a deal.

Liverpool have showed off their new style of play under the Dutch boss, who was asked about the club's lack of business this summer.
Asked about brining in new players through the doors at Anfield, he replied: "I think I said as a club like we are, we’re always looking if we can strengthen the squad but it’s not so easy to strengthen if you saw both games today. If we can, we will (strengthen the squad).
"I’ve said many times before that I’ve inherited a really strong team. If we can and if we think it’s possible, we will strengthen the squad but only if we think we can and if it’s possible."
Liverpool open their new Premier League campaign with an away fixture against Ipswich Town on Saturday.
