Fans think Arne Slot aimed an indirect dig at owners FSG after Liverpool were knocked out of the Champions League by PSG at Anfield.
Liverpool were defeated on penalties after their last 16 tie finished 1-1 on aggregate over two legs and a period of extra time.
PSG won 1-0 in the second leg at Anfield, with Ousmane Dembele scoring the only goal of the game on 12 minutes.

In the shootout, Gianluigi Donnarumma saved from both Darwin Nunez and Curtis Jones to send Liverpool towards the exit door.
Speaking after the game, Slot was not majorly critical of his players for their performance at Anfield and believed that they did enough to win.
When asked whether PSG were favourites to win the competition, Slot did not agree with that assessment at this stage - and also referenced the French club's spending.
He said: "Over 90 minutes, I don't think we deserve to lose this game of football today. Over 180 minutes, maybe it was deserved that we went to overtime. In overtime, I thought that PSG was a bit better than us.

"Normally, you face these teams in the semi-final or final, but unfortunately for us we had to face PSG, one of the richest clubs in the world, in this round."
Liverpool only brought in two permanent signings in the summer and the club's owners, Fenway Sports Group, have come under increasing criticism for their lack of spending in recent seasons.
Federico Chiesa was the only immediate addition in the summer, signing from Juventus for £12.5 million. He was an unused substitute.

Giorgi Mamardashvili joined for an initial £25 million from Valencia but was loaned back to the La Liga side for the entirety of the 2024/25 season.

Interpreting Slot's remark as a dig at FSG, one fan wrote on Twitter: "Love that he called FSG out for being cheap all this time, this is simply quality difference."
A second said: "Mentioning money a lot recently hmmmmmm."

A third added: "He is sending message to Liverpool owners to spend."
And a fourth wrote: "So are we but we don't spend."
