Arsenal could reportedly hold the key to Liverpool appointing Arne Slot as Jurgen Klopp’s successor.
Since January, Liverpool have been working behind the scenes as they search for the perfect replacement for outgoing boss Klopp.
The German announced his decision to leave Anfield at the end of the season back in January.
Klopp revealed he was running out of energy and could not do the job again again and again.

Since the news was made public, the likes of Xabi Alonso, Roberto De Zerbi, Ruben Amorim, Thomas Tuchel and Thomas Frank have all been linked with the Anfield job.
However, Alonso revealed last month that he will be staying at Bayer Leverkusen, whilst recent reports indicate that Amrorim moving to Liverpool is unlikely.
This week, it emerged that Feyenoord boss Slot is now the leading candidate to replace Klopp at Anfield.
However, Arsenal could have a big part to play in this saga.

As reported by Dutch news outlet AD, via Sport Witness, Feyenoord are targetting Arsenal’s assistant manager Albert Stuivenberg as a potential replacement for Slot.
The report stated that Stuivenberg ‘would guarantee attacking football and also has experience working alongside Louis van Gaal at Manchester United, and with Ryan Giggs and Rob Page with the Wales national team’.
It was also claimed that the 54-year-old worked many years at the Feyenoord academy.

Speaking about what Slot could bring to Merseyside, Sky Sports Dutch journalist Marcel van der Kraan said: “He's been a successful coach and made Feyenoord champions playing crazy, sexy football. It is sexy what this man brings on a football pitch. There's nothing more to win for him here.
“The next step for him is to enter a club in a big league and no league is bigger for the Dutch than the Premier League. I will be surprised if Slot doesn't bite at this chance and become the manager of Liverpool next season.”
