Liverpool fans have been stunned after Arne Slot debuted a new corner routine against Arsenal.
The Reds and the Gunners faced off on Wednesday night at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Liverpool came away 2-1 winners with Mohamed Salah and Fabio Carvalho scoring for the Reds. Kai Havertz netted for Mikel Arteta’s team.
With nearly 30 minutes on the clock, Liverpool tried out a new corner routine.

As Kostas Tsimikas readied to deliver, the Liverpool players gathered in one big group on the edge of the area before scattering into different positions as the Greek stepped up to take the corner.
The ball fell kindly for Curtis Jones but the Englishman was denied a shot on goal after the referee whistled for a foul on the Arsenal goalkeeper.
Reacting on social media, one fan said: “Our new set piece routine. I might actually enjoy corners now.”
Another tweeted: “Slot brining over the silly strats from Feyenord, we’ve won, next, we’re going to be deciding free kick tackers with rock paper scissors to confuse the opposition.”

A third fan added: “It’ll be so beautiful if it actually works.”
Someone else wrote: “Nah that is hectic how do you even man mark that.”
A fifth commented: “We are about to score 50 goals just from corners this season.”
Another fan said: “Put someone who can actually cross on corners and we’ll win the treble from corners only.”

Speaking after the match, Slot said: “I think even though it's a friendly, you always want to aim for a win. You should aim for a win even if you have a small-sided game during a training session. You need to win your games, you try to do everything to win. So that's a good thing that we did that today but I'm more pleased about the way we did so.

“Of course I saw the second half that we had a hard time with Arsenal – they dominated possession completely. But we defended really well and I was really pleased to see this because [there were] a lot of bodies behind the ball every time they arrived into our 16. Real big, open chances I don't think they created in the second half.”
He added: “First half, after the first 10 minutes, it was an equal game, where both teams could have scored a few goals more. So, [I'm] pleased to see how we played the first half and how we defended the second half.”
Liverpool are back in action this weekend when they take on Manchester United at the Williams–Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina.
