Liverpool could see a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah move to fierce rivals Manchester United instead.
Over the last few weeks of the summer transfer window, Salah was the subject of intense interest from Saudi Professional League side Al Ittihad.
However, Liverpool stood firm as they were adamant that their talisman was not for sale at any price.

Planning ahead, Al Ittihad will reportedly reignite their interest in Salah in future transfer windows.
With that in mind, Liverpool have been drawing up a shortlist of players to replace Salah.
Juventus star Federico Chiesa is one of many players linked with Liverpool since the Salah news first emerged.

However, despite the Anfield club agreeing to a new £164 million investment from global sports investment firm Dynasty Equity, Jurgen Klopp’s transfer budget is set to remain the same.
To add to the misery, Chiesa is reportedly also on United’s wanted list.
According to Italian news outlet Calcio Mercato, United have sounded out Chiesa as a replacement for Jadon Sancho.

23-year-old Sancho is facing an uncertain future at the club after a public spat with manager Erik ten Hag.
The United boss criticised Sancho’s performances in training after the Arsenal match, he said: “Jadon was [absent] on his performance on the training.
“We didn't select him. You have to reach a level every day at Manchester United and we can make choices on the frontline, so for this game, he wasn't selected.”
Sancho then hit back with his own statement to deny all claims made by Ten Hag.

Since then, it has been reported that Sancho has been exiled after refusing to apologise to the manager.
