The media in Spain have reacted to Kylian Mbappe's performance after Real Madrid suffered another defeat in this season's UEFA Champions League.
On the back of the injury suffered by Vinicius Junior, Mbappe started on the left-hand side of Madrid's attack against Liverpool at Anfield.
With the Reds' first-choice right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold not fit enough to start, many felt Mbappe would get the better of Conor Bradley.
However, the Northern Irishman produced a statement display as he kept the French superstar quiet for large parts of the match before coming off in the 87th minute due to injury.

In the end, Arne Slot's men ran out 2-0 winners thanks to goals by Alexis Mac Allister and Cody Gakpo.
On the back of another disappointing performance by Mbappe and Madrid, the Spanish media have reacted.
One of the biggest news outlets in Spain, Marca, claimed that Mbappe endured a 'true nightmare' under the lights at Anfield.
Journalist Juan Ignacio Garcia-Ochoa wrote: "The French star lived a true nightmare against Liverpool, the best defence in the Premier League, to end up completing a game that will take a long time to forget.

"And if before what happened in this game the coaching staff had no doubts about who should be the owner of the left wing of Madrid, Mbappe's performance ended up dictating the sentence. Erratic in the pass, in the controls and with such diminished confidence that it seemed difficult for anything to go well for him."
Marca added: "Madrid continue to offer very little in important games this season. And the reflection of this situation is the face of Kylian Mbappe, a player who is a shadow of what he is supposed to be.
"The Frenchman missed a penalty at 1-0 that would have put Madrid in the game, although his error from the eleven meters was the least of it. Without Vinicius, on the night when he was most expected, he had a calamitous game."

Since his high-profile move from Paris Saint Germain in the summer, Mbappe has struggled to find his best form.
So far this season, the 25-year-old has only managed nine goals and two assists in 18 appearances across all competitions.
Speaking about Mbappe's struggles after the match, Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti said: "It has happened many times that forwards have a hard time scoring. There is a medicine which is to be patient. It is a difficult moment for him, especially after missing the penalty. Everyone has to support him.
"He may be a bit lacking in confidence. When things don't go your way, the idea you have to have is to play simple. It's a bit like this moment, but you can't judge him for missing a penalty. All players miss penalties. He has to keep working well. We have to be patient because he's an extraordinary player."
