Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia

Karim Benzema has already sent a stern warning to Mohamed Salah amid reports linking the Liverpool man with a move to Saudi Arabia.

The Frenchman left Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid for Saudi Professional League club Al Ittihad.

Benzema was also joined by the likes of N’Golo Kante and Fabinho at the club.

Al Ittihad reportedly tried to lure Salah away from Anfield but their offer, believed to be in the region of £150 million, was swiftly rebuffed by Liverpool.

Despite Liverpool’s clear stance, Salah continues to be linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.

However, Benzema is reportedly wanting to move away temporarily.

According to AFP News Agency, the French striker feels under pressure and would like to leave Al Ittihad on a temporary basis.

Over the last few weeks, Benzema has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea all mentioned.

This will be a clear warning to Salah in a way as the forward will also be under huge pressure to perform if he decides to leave Liverpool for the Saudi Professional League.

In addition, a few players who moved to Saudi Arabia during the summer window have been linked with a move away already, Salah's former Liverpool teammate, Jordan Henderson left Al Ettifaq for Ajax last week. Roberto Firmino has also been linked with a move away.

Salah’s current club, Liverpool, have been left worried after he suffered a hamstring injury during Egypt’s Africa Cup of Nations clash against Ghana.

According to Salah’s agent, the injury is worse than first thought.

Ramy Abbas Issa wrote on social media: “Mohammed’s injury is more serious than first thought and he will be out for 21-28 days, and not 2 games.

“His best chance at participating in the current AFCON is by undergoing intensive rehabilitation in the uk and rejoining the team as soon as he is fit.”

Liverpool are back in action on Wednesday night as they take on Fulham at Craven Cottage for the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final.
