Netherlands midfielder Joey Veerman has been linked with a huge transfer this summer - hours after he was brutally substituted in the first half of his side's 3-2 defeat to Austria at Euro 2024.
Veerman was an early casualty after a difficult start to the match, which saw him lose possession 15 times.
The 25-year-old PSV midfielder was taken off after just 33 minutes of the match and replaced by Xavi Simons, who went on to play a role in Cody Gakpo's equaliser.

While Veerman had a nightmare evening, it was a rare off-night for him.
The midfielder registered 16 assists last season, and contributed a further five goals, as PSV stormed to the Eredivisie title last season.
It is no surprise, therefore, that Europe's elite have taken notice - with one of those clubs being Champions League holders Real Madrid.

However, Sky Sports Germany's Florian Plettenburg claims that losing finalists Borussia Dortmund have keen interest in signing the midfielder.
Plettenburg says that Dortmund have him at the top of a shortlist of alternatives if they cannot complete the signing of Brighton midfielder Pascal Gross this summer.
Gross, 33, was named in Germany's Euro 2024 squad and became the second-oldest player to score for the national team when he netted in a pre-tournament friendly against Greece.
He has been one of Brighton's key players since arriving from Ingolstadt in 2017, scoring 32 goals in 261 appearances and being able to operate in central midfield and at right-back.
Veerman, who has a contract with PSV until the summer of 2026, has previously appeared to indicate that he may be open to a move - although seemingly declared that he didn't prefer a move to Real Madrid.

Speaking earlier this month, he said (quotes via Football Espana): "I feel uncomfortable about these stories, because they are lies.
"If I leave PSV, it will be to join a club that likes to have the ball. I'm not a player who stays back and chases the ball throughout the game."
