Jamie Vardy tipped to make one of the biggest moves of the summer as discussions take place

The former Leicester City striker is currently a free agent.

As his search for a new club continues, Jamie Vardy is reportedly being lined up by one of Spain's biggest teams.

The 38-year-old is currently on the lookout for a new challenge after his 13-year spell at Leicester City came to an unfortunate end following their Premier League relegation.

Vardy, who scored 200 goals in 500 appearances for the Foxes, has since been linked with a host of clubs, including Wrexham, Wolves and former side Sheffield Wednesday.

He is also believed to have lucrative offers on the table from Saudi Arabia and the MLS, but one of the more persistent rumours involves La Liga giants Valencia.

Valencia were linked with a move for the experienced striker in May, with head coach Carlos Corberan believing that the former England international was 'ideally suited to his side's counter-attacking game'.

Vardy is once again being linked with the Spanish club

Almost two months later and Corberan is still keen to explore the possibility of bringing Vardy to the Mestalla this summer.

In fact, Corberan is in discussions with Valencia’s technical director about how Vardy might fit into their plans and whether they can stretch their budget to accommodate his wages, according to a report from GiveMeSport.

After seeing his eye for goal during managerial spells at Huddersfield Town and West Brom, the Spanish coach is aware of what Vardy could bring to his underperforming team, although he doesn't see the striker as a first-team regular.

Instead, he'd be more of an impact player who would be a goal threat coming off the bench.

Vardy, meanwhile, is convinced he can still play at the highest level. "I'll keep going until my legs tell me I need to stop. My legs are fine," he told Sky Sports in May. "I'm doing a sport that I love, it's what I've done since I was a little kid so long may that continue."

Ben Foster thinks Jamie Vardy could play for 15 different Premier League teams

Premier League clubs should be queuing up for Vardy, according to former Manchester United and Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster.

"He could sign for 15 different teams, probably 15 Premier League teams," he said on the Fozcast, when Vardy's departure was confirmed.

"Again, sort of like a Liam Delap scenario, he's not going to be the main man for anybody really. He's not going to play 32, 33 games. But what he will do is come off the bench for 30 minutes, 25 minutes and give you everything he's got.

"He can still do those runs in behind, those sneaky little runs in behind and score you goals. And he's a great lad as well.

"He can sign for all of them. Man United, I could see that. Arsenal, I could see that. Aston Villa, West Ham, Chelsea. Everybody, I could see it. I really could. It would not surprise me."
