James Blunt sends offer to England team if they lose to Switzerland and it's going viral

James Blunt sent an offer following Ed Sheeran's private performance for the England team.

James Blunt has sent an offer to the England team ahead of their huge quarter-final clash against Switzerland at Euro 2024 - and it's gone viral.

England beat Slovakia in dramatic fashion last weekend to set up a showdown against Switzerland in Dusseldorf.

The England squad have had some downtime ahead of Saturday's tie.

And on Monday, the team were treated to a private performance by Ed Sheeran at their Euros base. Check it out below:

Sheeran was filmed performing a rendition of 'The A-Team' for the players and staff.

Fellow musician Blunt caught wind of Sheeran's performance for England and sent an offer to the Three Lions ahead of their game against the Swiss.

He joked that he's 'booked to do the same' if Gareth Southgate's side lose.

On X, he tweeted: "And I’m booked to do the same if they lose against Switzerland."

Southgate's side edged past Slovakia in the last-16 as Jude Bellingham, who could receive a suspension, rescued England in normal time before Harry Kane bagged his side's winner.

Speaking ahead of their next fixture in Germany, Southgate said their late win over Slovakia has given them belief for the rest of the tournament.

"There's no question it will give the whole group belief," he said.

"We know we should be better than we've been, but we've ended up with a lot of young players in important positions and trying to solve problems right the way through the four weeks of the camp.

"But the standout is the way the players are dealing with it. Their togetherness, their spirit."

Southgate also praised Switzerland's set-up as they knocked out defending champions Italy in the previous round.

"They have had some consistency in what they do for a long time. Their system is difficult to press. They've got good rotation," the England boss added.

"Once they've been ahead they've been really difficult to break down, so they are a very good side."
