Harry Kane 'wants Premier League' return this summer and names shock club he prefers to join

Could Harry Kane make a shock return to the Premier League?

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane reportedly wants to leave Bavaria and make a stunning return to the Premier League.

Kane, 31, made a name for himself in the Premier League during his time playing for North London club Tottenham Hotspur.

In total, the Englishman has scored 213 goals in 320 appearances in the top flight.

Kane's tally of 213 is only bettered by Alan Shearer, who has scored 260 Premier League goals.

Back in the summer of 2023, Kane left Spurs for Bayern as he looks to win the first major title of his career.

Since joining the Bundesliga giants, Kane has managed 76 goals in 82 matches.

Despite seemingly enjoying life in Bavaria, it has been claimed that the England skipper would like to make a shock return to the Premier League.

As reported by Spanish news outlet El Nacional, those ‘close to Kane’ have stated that he is ‘seriously considering returning to the Premier League, to close out his career in England.’

It has been suggested that Liverpool are the favourites to snap up the former Leicester City and Millwall striker, with the Reds looking to add to their attacking options in the summer.

The report also stated that Kane's preferred destination at this stage is Anfield.

However, as per Team Talk, Liverpool are looking to bring in a younger attacker in the summer.

The likes of Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz have all been linked with a move away from Anfield. Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah is currently set to walk away from the club for free as his contract expires at the end of the 24/25 season.

Liverpool have enjoyed a fine campaign under Arne Slot, who has impressed since replacing the legendary Jurgen Klopp last summer.

With just nine matches left of the Premier League season, Liverpool are 12 points clear of Arsenal at the top of the table.

The Reds will return to action on April 2 when they take on bitter rivals Everton at Anfield.
