Germany fans have turned on one of their own players after Switzerland scare and want him dropped immediately

Germany avoided a scare against Switzerland at Euro 2024.

Germany fans have turned on one of their own players following their scare against Switzerland at Euro 2024.

Germany scored a last gasp goal to equalise against the Swiss in their final group stage match of the tournament.

Niclas Fullkrug headed home in stoppage time to cancel out Dan Ndoye's opener.

It's the second time Fullkrug has come off the bench and score for Germany at the Euros.

And judging by the reaction of German fans on social media, they'll be hoping the Borussia Dortmund forward replaces Kai Havertz in the starting XI for their next fixture.

German supporters ruthlessly took aim at Havertz following his showing in Frankfurt.

He played the full 90 minutes on Sunday as people want him out of the starting XI.

One X user slammed: "This utter woke nonsense of playing Havertz for the entire match almost cost Germany 1st place and will cost the elimination if we play like this again. That false 9 sh*t should’ve died the moment the master of it Guardiola acknowledged he needed a pure 9 to win the UCL."

A second tweeted: "Watched the game with my family, we were all just laughing at Havertz. Some of them don‘t even watch football but they‘re all like 'that number 7 is so sh*t'. I don‘t understand how this guy became a professional footballer."

A third added: "Kai Havertz is genuinely the worst player in the history of the sport I‘m so so sick of him."

Another commented: "Arteta could win multiple league titles and UCL’s but his greatest achievement would still be convincing the world that Kai Havertz is a good footballer."

Havertz has scored one goal at Euro 2024, with Julian Nagelsmann playing the Arsenal star in a false No.9 position.

Germany's last-16 next game is scheduled to take place on Saturday.
