Now, it has been reported that Southgate could call up three uncapped players for his next squad.
According to the Daily Mail, the England boss is monitoring Manchester United youngster Kobbie Mainoo, Everton’s James Garner and Fulham star Harrison Reed.
In addition, it is believed that West Ham United man James Ward Prowse is still on Southgate’s radar.

This comes after Kalvin Phillips’ recent poor form since joining West Ham on loan from Manchester City.
Phillips gave the ball away three minutes into his Hammers debut as he gifted Bournemouth a goal.
He was then dropped for their next match against United.
During Saturday’s Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest, Phillips was sent off after receiving two yellow cards.

Apart from midfield, it has been claimed that Southgate is concerned about his goalkeeping options as Jordan Pickford’s backup.
The likes of Aaron Ramsdale and Sam Johnstone have seen their game time limited in recent months, with Nick Pope still recovering from a dislocated shoulder.
Meanwhile, Dean Henderson and James Trafford are having difficult seasons with Crystal Palace and Burnley respectively.

According to Jose Mourinho, Jude Bellingham is capable of leading England to glory at EURO 2024. He said on a recent episode of the Vibe with Five podcast with former Manchester United and England defender Rio Ferdinand: “The mentality of the guys who have gone abroad, [Jude] Bellingham for example, I believe there is something that separates him from the boys that were born in England, developed in England, and are playing in England.
“He can add something different, he is a kid of the world. He has a big, big personality. Southgate with Steve Holland, he was my assistant at Chelsea and what a person, they’ve done a beautiful job there, but it’s just missing that little bit.”
