Gareth Bale has already made his feelings clear on any potential move to Wrexham.
Last year, after the Red Dragons secured promotion back to the English Football League, ex-Real Madrid and Wales winger Bale was quick to send a video message to congratulate the club.
Responding to Bale’s message, Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney jokingly said: “I won’t spend four hours trying to convince you to un-retire for one last magical season.”
In a recent interview with The Athletic, McElhenney spoke about Bale again, declaring the offer is still on the table despite the Welshman hanging up his boots back in 2022.

He said: “Gareth Bale is still technically available! I made the plea last year and I’m just going to tell Gareth that the offer is still on the table.
“We’ll let him play golf whenever he wants. Just as long he comes training and we’ll figure out how to get him in the team.”
Back in April 2023, there were rumours that Bale could come out of retirement and play for Wrexham.

However, those rumours were squashed by the man himself.
As reported by the Manchester Evening News, Bale said: “No, I don’t think so. I think I was looking more for a free round of golf off Rob. I’m sure we’ll have a chat and a joke, but I’m quite happy where I am.
“I’m spending a lot of time with my kids, my wife, time that I’ve lost so much over the years being committed to football. I’m just enjoying family life and playing some golf.”
He added: “I’m enjoying my time away. I started at a young age and felt the time was right. We left Wales football in a great place, and I’m sure they’re going to still continue to strive and do good things.”
