A huge update on Pedri's condition has been issued after he was taken out by a late Toni Kroos challenge.
On Friday Spain and Germany met in a heavyweight quarter-final clash at Euro 2024, but Spain lost one of their key players after less than 10 minutes.
Pedri was fouled by German midfielder Kroos less than four minutes into the contest. Despite catching the Spaniard on the knee, Kroos was not booked by referee Anthony Taylor.

Initially he continued, but a few minutes later he had to be substituted. The 21-year-old was close to tears as he left the field and had to be consoled by teammates.
With the score locked at 0-0 at half-time, Spanish journalist Alfredo Martinez offered a huge update on Pedri's condition.
"Pedri suffers an internal lateral sprain of his left knee. More tests will be performed to rule out associated injuries. The Euros is over [for Pedri]."

It's fair to say that Spanish fans were not happy with former Real Madrid star Kroos, who will retire following the tournament.
Spain were further enraged when Kroos again escaped a booking when he caught 16-year-old Lamine Yamal on the top of the foot.
Interestingly, both of the players fouled by Kroos play for Barcelona.
Kroos' teammate Antonio Rudiger put in a heavy challenge of his own on Pedri's replacement Dani Olmo, but he did not escape a yellow card.

Despite losing Pedri so early on, Spain took the lead early in the second half through a superb finish from Olmo.
