A Ben White tweet has resurfaced in the wake of the Arsenal star’s England snub.
On Thursday England boss Gareth Southgate revealed that White “didn’t want to be considered” for a call-up ahead of friendlies against Belgium and Brazil later this month.
White has not featured for England since leaving the World Cup camp in Qatar early in November 2022.

"We had a call from [Arsenal's sporting director] Edu last week saying Ben didn't want to be considered for England squads at the moment," said Southgate. "I spoke to him post-Qatar and there was reticence from his side.
“I don't know why that is, but I respect that. I leave the door open because he's a good player.
"There is no issue between us at all and there's also no issue with [assistant manager] Steve Holland, which has been mentioned in articles, and I don't like that.

"I have to accept things are false about me, but I'm not prepared for that to happen to my coaching team. That is not the reason Ben is not with us."
In the wake of White’s England snub, a tweet has resurfaced from 2021 in which the Arsenal star claimed it was a “dream” to play for the Three Lions.
Sharing a picture of himself making his England debut, White said: “Something you dream of as a kid. Loved every minute of it!!”

Moreover, when named as a surprise inclusion ahead of that summer's Euros, White said in a press conference: “It’s mind-blowing really. I didn’t really expect any of this to happen.
“Even the first bit, being in the 33-man squad, was enough for me and to make it to the final squad was unbelievable.”
While White is unlikely to feature at this summer’s European Championships in Germany, Southgate said there was still an opportunity for the player to return to contention.
"I want that door wide open," he replied. "He would be in this squad, but he's not available to us."
