Cole Palmer's wage is surprisingly low compared to some of his Chelsea teammates.
The 21-year-old has been a revelation since arriving at Stamford Bridge from Manchester City last summer and has proven himself to be Chelsea's best player this season.
Many were shocked when City allowed the highly-rated Palmer to move to another big club in England, but it's paid off for him as he's gone from strength to strength since.

He recently scored four in the Blues' emphatic 6-0 victory over Everton to take his goal tally this season to 25.
Given his impressive performances, he should be a key part of England's European Championship squad this summer, and could even start for Gareth Southgate's side.
What's clear though is that he will be the key man in Chelsea's future as they look to get back into the Champions League, so it's surprising to hear that he's paid significantly less than some of his teammates.

According to the Daily Star, Palmer earns around £80,000 per week, significantly less than some of his fellow first-team regulars, like Raheem Sterling, who earns £325k per week.
His low wage is likely because nobody not even Chelsea themselves envisaged that Palmer would have such a good first season at the club.
What seems obvious now is that he wasn't getting enough game time at City to actually showcase the level of talent he has.
England's Gareth Southgate will be pleased that yet another top-class youngster has been unearthed even if it does provide him with an even bigger selection headache given the number of quality attackers available to him.

The Blues will likely reward Palmer with a pay rise at the end of the season with The Mirror reporting that his representatives intend to start talks before the start of Euro 2024.
