Cole Palmer has achieved a stunning landmark after scoring for Chelsea against West Ham United.
On Sunday afternoon, the Blues welcomed West Ham to Stamford Bridge as they look to close the gap to Newcastle United.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men produced a fine first-half display as goals from Palmer, Conor Gallagher and Noni Madueke scored to make it 3-0 to Chelsea.
Palmer’s goal in the 15th minute also meant he has managed a stunning feat.

According to Opta Joe, who wrote on social media: “30 - One day before his 22nd birthday, Cole Palmer has become only the third player in Premier League history to reach 30+ goal involvements in a single season while aged 21 or younger (21 goals, 9 assists), after Robbie Fowler (94-95 & 95-96) and Chris Sutton (93-94). Prodigy.”
Speaking ahead of the match, Hammers boss David Moyes revealed Palmer was close to joining the club.
He said: “[We were] close, close. You can probably imagine the other part of it, where there was a possibility of somebody leaving here which might have made that work.
“I was in regular contact with his agent and we were well on the road with it but it just changed at the end and we couldn’t do it.”

Moyes added: “I watched him playing for England U21s regularly and I thought he was their standout player. I was always keen to bring in British players.
“The bigger problem was that he played in the same position as Jarrod Bowen but I had the thought about Jarrod becoming a centre-forward.
“Lee Carsley, who was one of my ex-players [at Everton] as well and the England U21 manager, was always giving me advice on their players and Cole especially. He spoke so highly about him and what he was like. We knew he could play several positions and let’s be fair, he’s been a revelation this year for Chelsea.”
