Chelsea fans are demanding more signings after the club suffered a defeat in the Europa Conference League.

Enzo Maresca's side suffered a 2-1 defeat against Swiss side Servette and despite the Blues progressing on aggregate, the club's fans aren't happy.

Christopher Nkunku opened the scoring for the visitors from the penalty spot but Jeremy Guillemenot equalised before the first-half.

18 minutes until full-time, Enzo Crivelli headed home from Miroslav Stevanovic's cross but the hosts couldn't find the extra goal they needed to take the tie to extra-time. Chelsea held on for a 3-2 aggregate win but fans think more signings are needed.

Footage of the game has done the rounds on social media and Chelsea fans believe defensive reinforcements are needed before Friday's deadline.

Maresca has been on a spending spree this summer, bringing no less than eight new first-team players to Stamford Bridge, but only one has been a centre-back in Tosin Adarabioyo.

Fans have been left unconvinced after watching the performances of Axel Disasi and Beniot Badiashille in particular, taking to social media to make their feelings clear.

One fan said: "I wouldn’t be against Disasi and Badiashile leaving before the deadline."

A second fan said: "Chelsea wanting to sell Chalobah when Badiashile is literally the worst defender Chelsea have ever signed in the clubs history"

A third said: "There isn’t a single person in the world that can convince me that Disasi and Badiashille are better than Chalobah."

Another fan said: "I hope we buy a quality defender tomorrow, it is one thing being good on the ball but you need to defend. HUGE question marks on all 3 of Disasi, Tosin and especially Benoit Badiashile."

A fourth said: "Just watch Disasi and Badiashile. Championship level defending."

Finally, a fifth fan said: "Deadline day needs Osimhen and centre backs. Between Badiashille/Disasi/Chalobah (through no fault of his own) needs to leave. We need a CB."

Both Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell are searching for resolutions over their future at Stamford Bridge after being told they have no place in Maresca's plans this season.

The manager reiterated that neither player would find any game time if they don't secure an exit before the window closes.

He said: "I prefer to be honest with players. The ones who are not involved are not going to be involved and they won't get any minutes if they stay.

"I don't know what happens when the window closes if they are still here. The ones who will get minutes are the ones I think can help us.

"Raheem is a fantastic guy who has trained very well. Every manager has a different idea and he is the kind of winger that is not one that I like. History and numbers speak for Raheem. He knows exactly what he needs to do.

"The rest are training apart, they are not going to get minutes. I have been clear and honest with them."
