David Beckham gives entire CBS Sports team a gift but one member of the panel got something even more special than the rest

David Beckham gives entire CBS Sports team a gift but one member of the panel got something even more special than the rest

Becks was a surprise guest on CBS' first UEFA Champions League show of the season.

David Beckham appeared on CBS Sports' UEFA Champions League coverage on Tuesday and came armed with gifts for all.

Beckham, 49, surprised panellists Micah Richards, Jamie Carragher and Thierry Henry, as well as host Kate Abdo.

Providing honey for each, Beckham had an extra special present for Abdo who recently tied the knot.

Smiling and joking throughout, the CBS host - who supports United - was more than happy with her offering from the former Manchester United man.

Handing Abdo a signed shirt from United's 1999 UEFA Champions League success, it also featured a personalised message, reading: "To Kate and Mailk, congratulations from Becks."

The quintet went back and forth joking on different matters, with Richards seemingly in awe of the former England international.

Sitting next to the former Real Madrid star, he lavished: “He smells good, he looks good… His suit is fresh. What a guy!”

Becks couldn't hold back his laugh throughout the exchange after leaving the studio gobsmacked with his appearance.

Beckham later announced that, although he will not be a regular on CBS this season, he and others will provide alternative commentary on six Champions League games over the next two years.

'Beckham & Friends' will be available as a new viewing option to Paramount+ subscribers for the next two finals, as well as the semi-final second legs this season and next.

Beckham explained that he will likely be joined by a different celebrity friend as they commentate on the games together.

He said: "I love watching the game, and I like watching the game in a certain way, and most of the time it is either with my kids or my friends.

"So it's going to be that kind of thing, where I'm sat there watching the games, commenting on the games, with friends, talking about the game and not sometimes talking about the game."

The former PSG man is still of course involved in football, running MLS outfit Inter Miami.

Hosting stars such as Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets at present, the newly-formed side has been a huge hit in the States.

They won their first piece of silverware in 2023, claiming the Leagues Cup.
